Floyd County Chamber of Commerce Welcomes Eastern Kentucky Federal Credit Union

PRESTONSBURG, KY – The Floyd County Chamber of Commerce held a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on July 20, 2015 to welcome new chamber member Eastern Kentucky Federal Credit Union (formerly Kentucky West Virginal Gas Company Employees’ Federal Credit Union).
Local dignitaries, chamber members and credit union representatives and board members took part in the event.
The credit union’s name change took effect on April 1, 2015. “The change to Eastern Kentucky Federal Credit Union was a thoughtful and strategic move by management and the credit union’s board of directors. This rebranding will allow our credit union more opportunities for growth in the region because we can add additional SEG (select employee groups) as members,” said Jennifer Osborne, EKYFCU Chairperson.
Eastern Kentucky Federal Credit Union is a federally regulated, non-profit credit union, established in 1969. Felicia Woody, EKYCU manager, described many services offered to members. “We offer low interest rate loans for cars, boats, campers and motorcycles and we can also offer a personal line of credit. We have member discounts through our Invest in America program at national companies like General Motors, Sprint, DIRECTV, Members Auto and Homeowners’ Insurance and TurboTax.” Woody added that, as a bonus, “Our members are eligible for discounted theme park and area attraction tickets.”
