Borders of Prestonsburg Ribbon Cutting

Although they have been open for business for a couple months, the staff and friends at Borders of Prestonsburg got to celebrate their hard work at a Floyd County Chamber of Commerce sponsored ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday.
The store is the passion of Thomas Hereford, an engineer with CSX, co-captain of the Floyd County Emergency & Rescue Squad, and a third-generation gun dealer who says that some of his proudest moments as proprietor of Borders of Prestonsburg come when customers tell him that they bought their first gun from his grandfather all those years ago.
The store is a one-stop location for firearm enthusiasts with unparalleled service and expertise, selling not only pistols, revolvers, shotguns, and rifles, but also all manner of ammunition, safety equipment, accessories, and gun safes, as well as offering gun cleaning services.
Hereford also teaches concealed carry classes about once a month, with the next course scheduled for October 25 at a rate of just $75 per person. Those interested need to bring their gun, 20 rounds of ammo, a cleaning kit, and eye and ear
protection. For more information about the course, or any of the other products or services available at Borders of Prestonsburg, call (606) 263-4720.
